Couple thoughts on Dimensions...
Ability to change, or unlock, driving dimensions so that they become driven dimensions. And vice versa for the driven dimensions. It would be nice if dimensions started out as driven with the ability to change them to driving at the time of placement, or at some point in the future.
Hide/show dimensions in a sketch. Populate a list of created dimensions, maybe associated with a sketch or body, or component, with the ability to turn them all on/off at once, or individually. Sometimes it's hard to see the sketch with all the dimensions blocking your view.
Dimensions in Model Space, driven/driving, etc...This really needs to be added. I know I can apply relationships and move things around and lock them in place and constrain them any number of other ways, but its quick and easy to place a dimension. Sometimes its just nice to have dimensions there for reference. Relationships are great! To me though, I prefer to use them when I'm nearing completion of a model or when i need to check interferences.
So far my only real complaint with this software has to do with dimensions. They work great in Sketch, but are absent in Model. The Drawing dimension tools could also use some more options. Things like ordinate dims, weld symbols, placement customizing (above/below the line), etc.
I think this software has a metric tonne of potential. It has a beautiful interface. It's Free!!! But man, it would be complete in my limited experience if the dimensioning had some more functionality. My apologies if these things have been mentioned already.
Thanks for your hard work. Keep it up! This is a great piece of software. Especially for those of us that can't drop five grand on a piece of software.
