Coordinate Axis systems and 3D reference Geometry

Coordinate Axis systems and 3D reference Geometry

I come from a Catia background, where we do a lot of bigger scale parametric modeling. Within a part, typically models used for master geometry, I use 3D point/line elements a lot (not within a sketch). The ability to insert Axis systems in 3D space, and use those systems as reference elements is HUGE in kinematic design and layouts (e.g. move a point from axis system A to axis system B).

Both SW and from what i can tell Fusion, lack that ability and have some basic 3D feature ability would make my life SO much better.

I've had a few times when I've wanted to create some planes perpendicular to an axis - or a few other things (I'm trying to recall off the top of my head) - and basically couldn't do it without jumping through a bunch of different steps. I'm not exactly sure - but I do think there could be a lot more done in the area of being able to easly add various reference geometries with respect to others.
