CAM errors and warnings are not very descriptive

I've seen this error a few times where the CAM operations don't produce any tool paths. Usually it's something simple and I can spot the problem, but sometimes I'm completely stumpped and have to try a different operation even though I know that the original operation should be able to do what I need. To be polite the CAM errors and warnings are not very descriptive.

I completely agree with this.

So, here is the interesting thing with errors.

If we fully understood the cause of every error, we could and would provide better defaults so that things just worked.

When given the choice to make things "just work" or docuemnt why they don't. we focus on making them work.

If they can't work and we know why, we would limit the selection so that a user does not end up in the situation.

Does this make sense?

Yes, that makes sense. I know there are probably way too many permutations to ever catch them all.

So does this happen across all HSM flavours? Or is it just in fusion it's a problem? 

"Empty tool path" is in no way helpful is it? 

How about "empty tool path! Please look into boundry selection settings" 

or 

"empty tool path please select tool" 

that would give a idea into where we have missed a setting. 

I would be intestead to know if this occurs in other HSM products!

error handling is the same in all 3 HSM products.
