I propose we get rid of the hard-to-see eye icons in the model tree next to specific features; bring back the light bulb. It was far more visible and make more intuitive sense.
I think we should go one better/bigger/more obvious: Highlight/backlight/invert the ENTIRE LABEL, both at the BODY level AND at the upper COMPONENT level to make it easy to see at a glance which component contains a body that has been made non-visible and/or unselectable. This is a major trip point for even experienced users working with large assemblies.
