Better browser

It would highly improve workflow and speed if browser interaction was made simpler. Two things i want to see the most : 

1. double clickng on the folder opens it. 
2. SIngle Click on the folder ( patterns for example) selects every body in the folder. 

3. After I have created a pattern and used it to cut out the shapes, I am left with this useless folder for patterns with nothing inside. why ? I should be able to delete it.

Not only those but the browser should be completely rethought out.

In designs of any significant complexity, it very quickly becomes unwieldy and polluted with things that take up space but are (mostly) are irrelevant most of the time.

and creating subcomponents and making them active to collect related stuff just kicks the can down the road (and not far enough to make a difference).

At the very least, there should be an automatic naming system and something like Spotlight search through the hierarchy of stuff but better organization, in general, would be a great help.

What kind of auto naming would make sense to you?

Are you thinking that there should be better internal organiziation or hierarchy to the browser forlders?

We will add the ability to delete these folders.

Just wanted to add that the same goes for "Symmetry groups" (IIRC). If I mirror an object and move the objects to a component for instance, I'm left with two empty symmetry group folders which can't be deleted.

I just wanted to endorse everything you just said, but call out particular attention to number 3.

There is no reason to have a node with nothing in it, let alone a node I can't delete.

I understand some data may be associated with the object within the UI (i.e. the object models as it relates to data), but there's no reason it has to remain visible.

Can we also get a browser search bar, sorting, filters and user-defined folders please?

Also for browser improvements:

- select selection sets as soon as we click it (currently we need to hover the set, wait for the submenu to appear on the right and then move the mouse cursor on the "select" icon and click. Over complicated)

- add a visibility icon (light bulb) to joints
