Automatic update deferral option?

Hi peeps!

ln light of recent issues something just occurred to me. 

I'm working on a project with a deadline. The recent update slowed my Fusion speed 8-fold. Luckily I didn't work at home last weekend.

Anyway, no harm done, but would it be possible to be alerted to the update and perhaps have the option to postpone it ????

I don't know if it would be possible as I came up coding in the assember, cobol, Fortran days when all the code ran in 1 computer. I know scant little about this cloud application thing.

As someone who wants to be in the early beta stream, there should definitely be a way to stay in the stable release stream, beta, or defer as long as possible / manual update streams

if we could get a warning first it would be good 2 you could take ya production computer off line

In line with this option could you place a splash screen telling us that the update is in progress.Something saying that an update is going on and that your computer may be slow until upgrade is done, only needs to be 5-10 seconds. I have had several times that my computer was really slow and forgetting about an update going on, I shut the computer down and restarted it forgetting to look in the corner to see about an update in progress. Sure would help me out. Thanks.

I also work with a metered connection ALOT... I don't mind needing to connect to sync my project, but cant afford to use this connection for huge updates. I'd like the option to defer until I am home, even if you need to limit the amount of time I can defer (Days, Hours?)...
