Did you mean:

allow local insert while maintaining curvature with TS / edit Face Brep

allow local insert while maintaining curvature with TS / edit Face Brep

So for example here I would like to insert at a specific point geometry and have the following happening:

1. maintain curvature - maybe if needed remesh the topology to maintain curvature (like when with NURBS when you insert an ispopram)

2. This should be the same when edit face of a BRep since Fusion does not expose CVs for cage edit for Breps

When you say in 1, maintain curvature, do you mean maintain shape? Using insert point you can add an edge to a tspline as you show but the edge will influence shape.

Yes of course maintain curvature - obviously this needs a CV topology rebuild

Essencially TS has to operate here like inserting an isopram onto a nurbs surface which requires the edit points to be repositioned.

obviously this might result in loss of some curvature fitting but I think that will be acceptable for this type of sculpting

Wouldn't insert with with the insert mode set to "exact" give you the result you are looking for?

@colin.smith Please shot me!

Yes that is it! Just archive this idea and let it never see the day light again 😉

How did I miss that ...
