All Extents for Symmetric Extrude Cut

It would be great to have the option to Cut through All with a Symmetric Extrude, as per the example below:

If I chose a One or Two Side cut option, it gives me the option to choose All Extents! I could chose to use a Two Side Cut, but it in the example above I have created the sketch in the middle of the part, so it would be a symmetrical cut, that would be my logic anyway. Not sure if others agree?

What's the status of this? The lack of being able to just say cut through "all" is driving me crazy!
