3D Piping / tubing / wirering

Hi,

currently my project require a lot of tubing. This covers all diffrent stuff like: Fuel lines, charge pipes (Air), oil line etc.

Here it would be awsome to have something like the sheet metal bench. There you can specifie diffrent tubes / cables. Put min. bending radiuses in and maybe also to put diffrent types of smothening for bends inside.

For creating the lines i think of something simple, as draging a axis system arround and then define the radiuses. Or to create a boundary box with a start and end point and wihich type of smothnes you want.

I`m sorry for my bad english. And my Project is a complete engine swap for a Mazda RX8. 🙂

I absolutely agree. I think it is also ver interesting for building furniture, for the base of metal tube chairs or sidetable, and so on... I would definetely appreciate such a helpful feature...

Yes definatly needed it takes alot of time right now to get routing of cabke and  pipe perfect

Not to hijack but pipe and tube with a similar "unfold" feature as sheet metal would be greatly appreciated.

Solidworks only has work-arounds to pipe and tube...

Hah, using Fusion right now to design and manufacture all the parts I need for my AE86 swap. 🙂 

And, the exhaust manifold design has been very very clunky to say the least.  My main issue is I can't find the joints that relate to my tubes... Ugh. And move/copy is not modal, so, I cannot simply leave it open, click the next part, angle it, etc like I can on other packages or like I would do in the real world.

I would also, take piping, tubing and I would expand the drawing side to include ISO drawing for piping with auto dimensioning and balloons. Additionally, you should add in Auto cut list generation and all in weld symbol based on the Piping standard. For Example, we always have 1/8" gap for welds on our piping and the pipe cut length needs reflex this.
