problems with decals

I have applied a jpeg decal to a simple body and I have two problems.  First the decal color is washed out.  The jpeg image has a 100% white area and it is dull beige after applied.  See them both here with the jpeg in the lower left ...

And a distorted version of the decal is appearing on the back of the body.  I applied it to the opposite face ...

Did I do something wrong or is the fault of f360?

Edit:  I rendered it and the decal appears 100% white but the distorted decal on the back is still there.  The washed out white is not really acceptable even in the design mode.

I mostly use png's for decals. You can try to make the decals brighter with photoshop or other photo edit software. for the 2nd image you need to unclick "chain Faces", this will fix the issue

Thanks.  Turning off chaining fixed the distorted duplicate face.  Photoshop isn't going to help the color since the jpeg was already 100% white.  But the decal was white when rendered so i can't complain very much.
