Hi @daniel_lyall,

Thank you for the update.
I guess that the "press pull problem" has been resolved through an update?

Could you may share the link to the initial post about the "press pull problem" that we can share this

information with the users?

@Mike.Grau

it was a not knowing how to do something problem.

I got halfway through typing out what the problem was and I worked out what to do. I can add a screencast to show what the problem was is

@Mike.Grau here you go file attached as well it is only a play file not important, the screencast shows what I could not do and what I had to do to do what I wanted to do.

I think it's a bug as well sometimes it would work

Hi @daniel_lyall,

Thank you for sharing the screencast and your design, this is really helpful.

I have the feeling that this is not directly a bug.

The conical surface can´t be considered for the extrude feature since the conical surface can´t be extended

logically in the background by the extrude tool. I have extruded the surface manually and created the extrusion afterwards.

Here is the public link to the test file I have created for you: http://a360.co/2bi3JTr

I will get in touch with the Fusion 360 development team and we will discuss about it.

I hope the file helps.

Thanks,

If you can extend the surface manually though it seems like Fusion ought to be able to do the same thing for an extrusion to surface.

And FWIW I was able to do something like this in Solidworks, so it's at least possible.

I was able to do what was needed it's in the screencast, I just did not show the last bit. I just added in the rod to show it does not work on a solid.

@Mike.Grau thanks mike not quite what I ended up doing, it was just a play to work stuff out. the solid rod, if the sketch extended past only one end it works when it extends past two ends it fails. and if you toggle match it fails and works sometimes.

@kb9ydn it can be done like your pick you just add a draft
