Offset sketch

I want to create an offset sketch and extrude it but it should be straight, not on an angle as you can see in the image attached. When I did the offset I selected the surface I'm offsetting from and that surface is not parallel with the XY plane. If I select another plane for the sketch I can't offset the curves from the surface I wanted. 

Is there a way to offset that surface to another (straight) sketch plane?

Yes, create a vertical plane, to sketch on

Sketch > Project, select the body outline.

Offset then extrude will be square to the sketch plane.

Probably best workaround for the moment.

It would be nice for the Offset tool to project on any active sketch plane, maybe as an option, beside default behavior.
