Need to make surface with rough texture

I'm building a roller for a sailboat to replace a damaged part. The old part has a somewhat rough surface to increase friction between the roller and the rope passing over it. This encourages the rope to rotate the roller rather than just slide by it.
See roller in attached file.
How can I produce this roughness?

Hi @3D_Ken. From your existing shape, you could use Pipe or Sweep to make the grooves you want.

Here I used a simple Sweep, so I had to create a sketch with the shape I wanted to cut out (triangular shape for this test). For the Sweep path you can use the initial arc you created, but you will get straight grooves, after a Circular Pattern of the feature (Sweep).

Here I tried something more elaborate. I used Project to Surface to create a line that followed the surface (which seem now to me too much tilted). With that line you can use a Sweep again, but also a Pipe. In the picture below I used Pipe, Circular Pattern and Mirror (to make the grooves in both directions).

You don't need a new profile to use Pipe; it has an option where you can use Circular, Square or Triangular profiles, along with its Section Size.

Super thanks!

I used the "pipe" version, reduced pipe size to 0.31mm and changed from 16 pipes to 32.  Got exactly what I needed.
