measuring angles

i want to notch some pipe to match this drawing i made, but i'm not sure how to measure the angle of the pipe.

usually when i want measure something i hit the 'i' key and measure distances and things.  what's the best way to do this for angles?

i was thinking about maybe drawing a sketch on top of this and when i place the lines i see what angle they come in at, but it seems like there must be a more precise/direct way to do this.

any ideas?

Hi @prefetch,

In this situation, I'll sketch simple lines and use the pipe command to create those pipes. This way, it will be the easiest way to create the pipes and measure angles.

From your question, I understand that you have created circle sketches and the extruded them to create those pipes. Try the above technique and let me know, if it helps.

Cheers / Ben

Hey prefetch

Assuming the geometry end is trimmed, I would create a new sketch on related plane (same view of your picture) and then project this edges that you want measure... That is it.

Hope this helps.

Another option is use axis through cylinder\cone\\torus then use the inspect tool and select the 2 axis lines.
