How could I create this crosshach metal grip texture in fusion 360
It may help to start out with an appearance that already has a cutout like Brass Hexagonal Mesh, to see how the Relief Pattern and Cutout Images are used in the Appearance/Material Editor to generate these effects in the appearance.
You can use your own black and white image (black is the see through area) to create custom cutouts. Having a relief pattern image that matches the cutouts will add to the appearance quality. You may find that you can easily download what you need from a quick google search. Keep in mind that you can start with a photo image of an appearance generate another grayscale (black and white) image using editing software like Autodesk Sketchbook.
