 Hi  experts

I have a question, i have made a design that i have made in fusion 360 for my CNC Milling.

What i need more to do is to use the same design for my Laser Cutting machine, Is there any option present in Fusion360?

well, there might be an easier way to do this, (maybe in the CAM module, which I'm not very familiar with), but one thing I'm sure you can do is export sketches to DXF (which I think Illustrator will open, I'm not sure).

if I'm right, all you need to do is to split your design into sections of the hight of the surface your cutting. then, you project this surfaces into sketches and export them.

export or create a sketch of the object you want to laser cut and as mentioned export it as a 2D DXF file which can be loaded into what ever app the laser cutter software will use.

Old thread but here's my method....

Convert components to Sheet Metal, Create a Flat Pattern then export as DXF.

This removes the need to create multiple sketches for various depths and rearrange in Illustrator.
