Cannot place datum point (ordinate dimensions)

Good morning everyone. I am trying to place a datum point for my ordinate dimensions. I can place it on points or corners of the object, but when I try to drag it out to the bottom left corner where there is no line from the object I created, I cannot left click and place it (it just reads in brackets define view origin). I'm coming from over inventor if that's of any use.

Thanks for your help.

That's fine and dandy if I want to only use ordinate dimensions in the y axis, but what about going across in the x axis?
I cannot seem to be able to do both, without having positive and negative values in the x axis. It is possible to have two sets of ordinate dimensions from 2 different datum points?
Or is fusion limited to one datum point for a single drawing?

Also, since I have your attention, in inventor I was able to add members, and delete members from ordinate dimensions. I cannot figure out how to do that on Fusion.
Right now if I make an error I have to delete them all and start over.

Thanks!

Also, another really dumb question. But how do I edit the line type of the dimension? Say if I wanted to change it from a solid line to an intermittent line pattern, so it makes it easier to identify the object I created.

Right now I have to mark the hole with the cross hair, and drag one of the arrows across to my dimension. Even then if it isn't long enough it will appear as a solid line.

for better understanding please watch this video

Yea I know bro, but again it's very limited, and if you want you can remove solution from my post so that others can see your post and suggest other things that might help you

Best of luck

I came here looking for the same solution.  Fusion only allows one origin for ordinate?  This isn't right.

After putting in ordinate dimensions in X, I close out of ordinate dimension and go back in to do Y, but Fusion picks up where it left off when I was doing X.  I can see this being useful if I define a point as my origin, but i'm selecting an edge.
