Hi there!
I'm thinking about create a collaborative model with my students, i have tried work with 2 o 3 users in the same model but now i'm looking for a 30-40 person real-time model, which will been use every week to work in our classes.
Is there someone that have work with large models in FormIT? and also, with many users?
I want to hear opinions and advice.

Hi JUANYUSTAF,
The FormIt Collaboration workflow was designed to allow a few designers to work simultaneously in the same model. It wasn't intended for a group of 20-40 users at once. That's not to say that you can't try it, but the behavior won't be optimal.
What should work OK:
- If most users are in the model just observing, then the feature should work well even with 20-40 people.
- If only 1 person is modifying geometry at a time with 20-40 people in the session, the feature should work well.
What won't work OK:
- If many of the 20-40 users in the model are trying to create or edit forms at the same time - this will exceed capacity.

Thanks @HeatherL01 for the great response.
What do you think to work with teams of 4-5 persons? All that i said in the first post is proposal for a next lesson, so i'm thinking on the best way to work collaborative with my students.
One question more, have you see or hear about some project like this? i mean, other collegues that are doing this kind of work? maybe it's one of the first collaboration project with FormIT in mid-school education !

Working with 4-5 designers in the same model should be fine.
I have heard of others who are remote teaching who want to work collaboratively with students in one FormIt session, though I don't know if anyone has followed through with it yet. I've had some discussions with high-school teachers in Massachusetts who were looking into using FormIt, but I'm not sure what they decided. FormIt works on Windows desktop OS not native Mac and this was a factor for them. Students can access FormIt via the web, but performance is better on Windows desktop.
