Why does export from formit to infraworks work so bad? When transferring a model from formit to infraworks, for example in fbx format, the transparency of the textures is not transferred. Even worse with the obg and dae transmission. skr.jpg

Here, for example, the model transferred from formit to infraworks (left) and the same model transferred from revit (right)

Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for writing in about this. We're doing work currently to improve the reliability and consistency of import and export of various file types in FormIt.

This issue with transparency in FBX files will be fixed in the next major FormIt release. FBX transparency from FormIt does work in some apps like Unity, but not in others like Infraworks, as you noted. This is because transparency can be set and read in different ways by different applications. Either way, FormIt will handle these cases better and the behavior will be more consistent in the near future! Stay tuned.

Hi again @Anonymous,

Transparency is now exported correctly for FBX files in FormIt v18, which has just been released. We also added the ability to import FBX files. Read about it here, or get the update now.

Thanks,
