how to create surface/mesh of enclosed line?

Once I created an enclosed line it has a surface with it and I deleted. Later on I want to add back, how to do it? Please find attached screen shots.

Thanks for your question.

You should be able to use the "Cover" tool (available in the Advanced Geometry Toolbar or via keyboard shortcut "CV") to select the enclosing edge(s) to create a face.

I've attached a screen shot to point out the tool on the toolbar.

Yes, Heather's solution is great - I would also try to sketch a line over one of the existing perimeter edges - and FormIt will fill the face in automatically.
