Grid rotate

Hello

I'm brand new to Formit and to this forum.  Thank you for an amazing product!

Using the latest version of Formit on an iPad with the latest version of iOS, I'm having a few problems:

1. I can't seem to rotate the grid.  I imported a satellite view of the site and am trying to rotate the Formit grid to line up with the streets on the site.  I press and hold down on the grid area (away from the satellite view) and then tap on the rotate grid icon (the axes with the circle and grid) but when I try to rotate just the grid, the satellite view rotates with it (the same as if I hadn't used the rotate grid command).  What am I doing wrong?

2. Is there any kind of written tutorial.  I'm trying to learn how to use it and have found some videos, but nothing that describes it from start to "finish".

Thanks!

Welcome!

I think you're tapping the 'reset grid rotation' button instead of the 'grid rotation'. Use the button with the axes and the grid, but not the 'reset' icon 🙂

Then you'll see the XYZ widget appear in the canvas. Now grab the grip on the end of the red axis and you can line up the grid as you're describing.

One tip is to make the satellite image semi-transparent so you can see both at the same time. When you're done rotating grid, then click off into space!
