FormIt Subscription

Hi,

Does FormIt now require a subscription to open? I have downloaded the Windows for my laptop, however it will not open despite being logged into my A360 account.

My Ipad pro version is working just fine.

regards

Hello Thomas - We have had a few reports of this issue on the forums - the fix seems to be updating graphics card drivers. Then you should be good to go. Thanks for posting the image - it looks like you're on a Windows OS, not using parallels correct? If so, then the graphics card driver update should be all you need to do. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Hi Tobias,

Thanks for your response. I have updated both display adapters, to no avail. I have logged into A360 seperately, but no change.

The screen shot is the same as the previous message.

Any further assistance would be appreciated.

regards

Thomas

Hi Thomas,

Just to verify, are you using any sort of remote desktop/virtual machine application to access this computer, like VMWare or Windows Remote Desktop? Or a dual-boot configuration like Parallels?

Hi Thomas,

We're not sure what's happening here. One more thing to try:

Can you try deleting the FormIt registry?

HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Software / Autodesk / FormIt 360

Thanks,

Hi Josh,

I tried downloading the windows version through Google Chrome to see if the browser was influencing the outcome, to no avail. If you review the screen shots below, you will see that I have found what I think is the answer.

If I am reading it correctly, the Windows app will only work on a Pro subscription.

Anyway for the moment I can evaluate whether this program will do what I need in my practice  and that is what I needed.

Thanks for your help, I would be interested in your comment if I am not correct in my approach.

Regards

Thomas.

Hi Thomas,

Yes, the Windows app is a Pro feature.

Having said that, the sign-in screen on the Windows app should present you with options like starting a 30-day Pro trial (a great way to evaluate the app), not simply a blank screen as your screenshots above show. This is the problem I was hoping to troubleshoot for you. In the event you do become Pro and want to use the Windows app, you'll need that sign-in screen to display something.

In the meantime, yes, you can use the Web app and most of its features for free. Given that the Windows app has better performance and more features, I would still like to get that working for you. I'll contact you directly to see if we can help further.
