Formit Modeling Space Inactive

Hi, I've got the latest (16.3) version of formit pro. When I open it, the modelling space is inactive except for the toolbar at the top meaning that even if I select a tool I cannot draw anything, rotate the view etc. After a while the whole screen just goes white but if i click randomly where the toolbar should be they still appear to be active (hope this makes sense, screenshot attached). Any ideas on how to solve this? I'm on a deadline and need to use the solar gain analysis tools. Tried uninstalling it and installing it again several times and it didn't help

Forgot to mention, I'm on windows 10, dell xps15, 4k screen

Hi Karolina, 

Can you try updating your graphics card driver? Also, does your machine have 2 graphics cards? If so, you'll want to update both drivers if possible. If one of the cards is an NVidia card, you should try setting the NVidia card as the default for FormIt. You can set per-application card settings in the NVidia Control panel.

If you have a non-4k screen to test against, it might be worth seeing if that works better for now. FormIt supports 4k screens, but the graphics drivers sometimes need to be updated. 

In the mean time, you can also use our Web app (https://formit.autodesk.com/app) for Energy Analysis if the model isn't too big, until we can get the Windows app working better for you.

I am sorry you are having trouble running FormIt. I suspect this is related to your graphics card drivers. Make sure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card - including both if you have a system with switchable graphics. And if you do have such a system, make sure that the PC is using the more powerful card (Nvidia or AMD) while using FormIt. I hope this helps.
