Formit Energy Analysis Not Running.

Hi,

I am unable to run Energy Analysis in Formit Pro trial.

I followed the steps below:

-site location set.

-geometry close to origin,

-levels applied,

-solid object selected

My Autodesk 360 account is verified and susbcription is runing: I can login, view the cloud drive on the web, run energy simulation in REVIT etc.

These are the errors I get: first,  "Project could not be saved"; second "Failed to save to A360". The file is attached for refernece.

Any ideas?

Thanks for writing in - and thanks for the great GIF! That helps understand the problem and where you're experiencing it! I just downloaded your file and tested with it. I was able to get analysis results, so I don't think there's anything wrong with your file.

First, I'd suggest rename your file - do a save as and then try again. I've seen a bug where you're not able to do two consecutive energy analysis on the same file with the same name.

Second, you shouldn't have to have any geometry selected so try leaving that step out - I doubt it is having an impact, but good to eliminate possibilities

Third, you could try the same file on the FormIt web app - just save the file you're working on in the Windows app to your C: drive, then go to the web app and click Open > Locally and browse to the file - then try to run the analysis from there. (you'll have to sign into A360)

Last possibility is that a temporary server issue was occuring and the analysis couldn't process. I've been testing this today and it's been working OK so you could just try again with the file you've got there.

Thanks again for writing in! Let us know if you're able to get it to work?

Tobias

Hi Tobias, Thanks for the help! Sorry for the delayed response.

The first solution helped. I renamed the file, and was able to generate insights both on the web and the desktop apps.

Thanks again!

It is likely a geometry issues; recreating the geometry will likely solve your porblem.
