Extract plan

Hi,

I would like to extract a plan from my 3D in Formit, so I tried to put it in Revit, wich worked, I have my 3D in Revit, but I can't have a proper plan. Every view in Revit show the roof, and the levels are wrongly placed.

Did I missed a step to open my file in Revit?

Any advice would be helpfull thanks!

There are different workflows depending on the version of Revit you are using. I will assume you are using the latest (Revit 2024) functionality.

This said, there are two workflows described in the FormIt primer:

From FormIt to Revit

When using the Linked CAD/Import CAD workflows, the resulting model will behave as CAD instance. You can then check to see whether the "Enable Cutting in views" is activated by following this help topic:

About Cutting Incoming Geometry

As for the level correspondence between the existing Revit levels and the FormIt levels, the Import CAD workflow has a "Import FormIt Levels" option in the file dialogue box. See item 5 on the image below.

Otherwise, if I remember correctly, Link CAD and 3D Sketch workflows don't create levels.

If this doesn't help, please describe in more detail which version of Revit and workflow you are using.
