Context plugin error at startup

I have had the issue for over a month now, even after updating to formit 2024, where I get an error at startup, I guess its technically a Warning not an error, that says its unable to load https://matterlab-co.github.io/FormIt-Context-Plugin.

It seems like the plugin still works, but no matter what I do, this is the first thing I see when I start formit.

I tried disabling the plugin, closing formit, restarting, yet it still appears.

It may not have any impact, but I would very much like to see this Warning go away if possible. Thank you

About a month ago that plugin moved to a new location.   The plugin is autoloaded from the new location, which is the one you see working.

The one showing the error must be coming from your list of installed plugins.  Uninstall the one you have installed.

@jeff_hauswirth Thank you, I thought I did try to uninstall, but it looks like there was another plugin that was causing this, I thought it was the context one. When I disabled them both, then closed and restarted, the warning stopped appearing. Thanks again!

Just to provide a bit more context, the company formerly known as Matterlab originally built the FormIt 3D Context Creator plugin.

The URL to that plugin unexpectedly changed when Matterlab underwent a branding and name change to Kope Ops, so anyone with the original plugin installed will now unfortunately see the error that the plugin failed to load, since FormIt is still looking for the original repo name on startup.

As mentioned, you can:

  • Uninstall the old 3D Context Creator plugin with Matterlab in the URL from the Installed list in the Plugin Manager
  • If it's not already installed, you can get the new 3D Context Creator plugin from the Recommended list in the Plugin Manager:

We apologize for the inconvenience.
