Hello all,

Does FormIt do "constraints" in any way?

Example:

I was modeling a column, made an array of columns, put a roof on top.

Now, when I lower the height of the column (all instances change accordingly nicely), the roof remains floating in air, even though I sketched it snapping to point of the columns.

I was hoping that the roof would lower with it... Is there a way?

(Or maybe a "gravity" switch would be nice in a tool like this, so that floating objects will drop in a tetris-manner when support underneath it is lost. 😉

Thanks!

Hi Remko,

The Problem is that the columns and the roof becomes two different objects. You will need a Dynamo script to be able to control both the objects. You can start by making a roof, then make the columns out of the roof and then change the hight of the columns with the lower face. BUT you will still have to move the whole object (roof and columns) to the right place ether way.
