Importing a new topography and replacing the default topography in Forma

I want to make my climate analysis in Forma on a new topography, not the default one that comes with forma as you open up a new project.

Although I hide the visibility of the default topo, Forma stills uses it for its analysis, and not only my new future topo.

I am working on a large master plan, where we alter the existing terrain a lot (both cutting away and filling up). I work in Rhino and have a complete topographical model of our future conditions. I have exported the future topo and imported it to forma as an obj.

Anyone know about any solutions to this? Thanks!

Hi Charles!

For terrain specifically, a proposal can only have one element that the platform and analyses will semantically treat as the terrain. That means that you will need to actually replace the original terrain. The procedure to do this is described here.

Hope this helps!
