Forma/ACC Migration Strategy and Feature Parity with BIM 360

Hello Autodesk Community,

I need to be direct: the current state of the BIM 360/ACC/Forma ecosystem is deteriorating. The user experience is getting worse, feature parity seems further apart than ever, and features are actively being removed because they simply don't work after the migrations. I'm hoping someone from Autodesk can provide clarity on where this is all heading.

The Problem: The migration path is completely convoluted. Support documentation references Forma in some places, ACC in others, and BIM 360 in still others. There's no coherent continuity between these platforms, and critically, the functionality is objectively worse than what we had before.

Specific Issues We're Facing:

  • We've lost the ability to update projects through the BIM 360 portal after migration to ACC
  • There are essential functions we could perform in BIM 360 that have never been available in ACC
  • The workaround for adding images to projects through BIM 360 has now stopped working entirely on EU/UK servers
  • Support resources point us in circles between three different platforms with no clear guidance

What We Need to Know:

  1. What is the actual endgame here? Are we moving to ACC, Forma, or some hybrid?
  2. When will feature parity be restored? Right now we have objectively less capability than before.
  3. Why are we being migrated to platforms with fewer features than we currently use?
  4. Are there any functioning workarounds for EU/UK users who can no longer perform basic tasks like adding project images?

While at present it seems to be a minor inconvenience, I refuse to believe this is as bad as it will get and feature parity will become worse before it becomes better — the experience has fundamentally deteriorated and without a clear roadmap or timeline.

ACC was introduced only a handful of years ago, and we are already moving to yet another product as Forma before the bare basics were even added to ACC?

Has anyone else experienced these or similar issues since product migrating? Any guidance from Autodesk would be greatly appreciated.

I am concerned about files seemingly disappearing from ACC in the Forma migration. I got a notification that our Hub was migrated, but I am hearing from people that files that had been moved or updated have been reverted back to previous versions. We know the work was done because have PDFs that show the updated changes, and yet the original files are not showing those changes anymore and have been reverted back to previous dates. I have scoured the Activity history in the projects and don't see anything showing the files were manually restored to previous versions.  We have lost HOURS of work from the end of last week. Why is this migration happening behind the scenes and with zero transparency? And as you said, to what gain? How is this benefiting us? I am going to have an incredibly hard time justifying the spend at our next renewal when we have had such frustrations.
