Quantity takeoff from IFCSpaces

IFCSpaces are helpful model objects for calculating quantities, such as surface areas. Currently, IFCSpace items are not treated as physical objects within the Autodesk Construction Cloud viewer which means that they cannot be used.

It would be helpful to close this gap so that every model object, including IFCSpaces, can be used for quantity takeoff.

Yes, IFCSpaces are extremely important for a cost calculation. Without this, a very large part of the cost-relevant quantities for cost calculation is missing.

I completely agree, this is a critical issue. There is no clear reason why IFCSpaces should not be visualized in an online viewer. As far as I know, Forma seems to be one viewer where these elements are excluded.... would be really curious to know what was the thinking behind this... 🤣
