PROJECT ORGANIZATION

PROJECT ORGANIZATION

ACC NEEDS TO ADD FUNCTIONALITY SO PROJECTS, AT THE ROOT LEVEL, CAN BE ORGANIZED INTO A FOLDER HEIRARCHY, SIMILAR TO WHAT IS POSSIBLE IN A NORMAL WINDOWS ENVIRONMENT

Do you mean that the files tool should include this functionality? Or do you mean something more broad than that?

Hi, thanks. Not the files tool within a specific project. A way to sort and organize the root projects themselves.
I have to believe that for many firms like ours that have many, many projects on ACC, it would be very helpful to be able to sort and save the projects themselves into a folder tree structure similar to that found on any windows computer. Even though we use project numbers and you can 'sort' projects in ascending or descending order, having a folder tree structure for the root projects themselves would be a HUGE benefit and time saver for us.

Ah ok, I understand now. So this would be additional functionality on the 'Projects' tab of the ACC home page (acc.autodesk.com/projects).

I could see it being valuable to have more ways of categorizing projects, especially for companies with multiple business divisions, programs, or industries served. For people with 5 projects the current functionality works fine, but with 50 it gets much more difficult to find the one you need.

Yes, exactly. We have multiple pages of projects on ACC, and need a better way to organize them. Folders and sub-folders is the way to do it.

@ScottAllman3090
Are you using a naming convention for your projects? This might be your best (or quickest) bet for sorting long lists

Kind regards
