When creating reports on Forma - there are limitations to this workflow.
- If you create a report template - you can't just share the template out to other team members to use. You have to actually generate a report, share that report, then have that use open the template used to create the shared report, then same the report template for their own use but it is detached from any project admin templates that are intended to be updated and used by the whole team. It makes this process very complicated for something that should just be very simple
- If you create a report template - you can only generate report using that template if you go to the Reports module. If a team member you has access to the template goes instead to the Issues module - selects which issues they want to generate a report - clicks "export report" there is no option to use a template. This would be beneficial because sometimes to create the report you want - you can't allows do with filters. Sometimes you just need to be able to select which issues you want to export but export them in the same format from a template.
- When using reports on the iPad this same ability is limited to leverage templates. It would also be beneficial to have a report module on the iPad because the only option the iPad provide you is to manually select the issues you want to create a report from but once again, without the ability to use a template. Having the reports module included can at least bridge a solution for team members out in the field.
