Currently, ACC automatically generates a unique ID for items such as Issues, RFIs, Forms, etc. However, the ID sequence is generally maintained independently without providing an option to generate a type-specific identification number based on the item category.
Suggested Enhancement:
Allow administrators to create an automated custom ID field that generates sequential IDs based on the item type.
The custom ID could be configured with:
A custom prefix
Automatic sequential numbering
Separate numbering sequences for each tool/type
Optional formatting rules
This would provide a more structured and easily identifiable numbering system, especially for projects where Issues, RFIs, Forms, and other records need to be referenced in reports, correspondence, meetings, and project documentation.
