Status of Projects

Why have a Status column on the project page when there is no way to change the status from active, suspended or pending. I realize that Suspended  or pending are selectively utilized during either creation or actual submittal use,  but it would be helpful to allow admins  to choose a project status such as dormant or hold.  Dormant could then be utilized to remove from project lists that are hundreds of  projects long. Allowing staff to remove projects from their project list without having to remove them from the project is the ultimate goal.

At the moment, the Status field is system-controlled and limited to predefined values such as Pending (typically during project creation issues) and Active, with no option for admins or users to manually update or customise it. I understand how having additional statuses like Dormant or On Hold could improve project organisation and visibility, especially for teams managing a large number of projects. While this capability isn’t currently available, I’d recommend sharing your idea on the Ideas Forum so other users can support it and increase its visibility for future product improvements.
