Filter Markups by Version

Currently all markups show regardless of the file versions it was created in. To only show the current version's markups, you can filter markups by date, but not the file version. Ideally, only the markups of the current version will show by default (ie Filtered to current version by default).

From the filter, you should then be able to select other versions of the file that featured markups. This is especially helpful to check if changes requested in a previous version have been addressed.

Since the markups now show which file version they were created from, it would be really cool if they could also be filtered by those file versions (multiple choice).

Hi @anriae

It’s definitely a flaw in the mark up’s tool that needs to be addressed. I’ve projects going back years that have multiple markups from various versions visible and we have to come up with a system of colour coding the markups by user and date for them to make sense.

One workaround you could look at is to use the reviews tool with ‘Send back to initiator’ activated within the review template. That way, mark up’s created between the initiator and reviewer of the file will be captured between review rounds, giving better control of markups and comments between file versions.

Regards,

Andrew
