Batch PDF export of sheets from a Design Collaboration Package

Is there currently any way to batch-export the sheets contained within a Design Collaboration Package to PDF, without opening the Revit model?

Our workflow is:

• Revit cloud model is published to ACC/Forma
• A Design Collaboration Package is created containing a defined set of sheets
• That package represents a specific submission/issue
• All of those sheets are already viewable individually in Forma

What I would expect to be able to do is simply open the Package and select Download / Export Package as PDF, with Forma generating PDFs of all sheets contained in that package (ideally with an option for individual PDFs or one combined PDF).

At the moment, I cannot find any way to do this. Exporting/downloading the RVT from Data Management simply downloads the Revit model, and the sheets visible within the Design Collaboration Package appear to be viewables rather than downloadable PDF files.

This seems like a significant workflow gap. The Package already defines the exact drawing set, Forma already generates and displays the sheets, and the Package is effectively being used as a record of a particular submission. Yet if I need a PDF copy of that exact submission for external distribution or our records, it appears that I have to go back into Revit, recreate/select the same sheet set, and export it again.

Requested functionality:

Design Collaboration → Package → Export/Download Sheets → PDF

Ideally with:

• Export all sheets contained in the Package
• Individual PDFs or a single combined PDF
• Sheet order matching the Package
• Sheet names/numbers preserved
• Revit-generated hyperlinks preserved where possible
• No requirement to open Revit

If this functionality already exists, I would appreciate someone pointing me toward it. If it does not, I think this would be an extremely useful addition to Design Collaboration. A Package should be capable of producing a portable copy of the exact drawing set it represents.

You don't need to open Revit for this. Once the model is published to the Design Collaboration package, the sheets land as published sheets in Docs, and you batch-export from there: 1. Go to the sheets (Plans/Sheets in Docs, or the published set from the DC package) and select all the sheets you want. 2. Use Export / Download as PDF on the selection. That gives you the set without opening Revit at all. A couple of notes: - If you want one combined PDF vs individual files, the download/export dialog usually lets you choose; otherwise combine after. - If this needs to be automated on every publish rather than click-driven, the route is the APS Data Management plus Model Derivative API to pull the sheet PDFs programmatically. For a manual workflow the select-all-and-export in the sheets view is the quickest. Is this a one-time-per-publish manual export, or do you need it automated on every publish? If it's every publish, the API route is worth setting up; if it's occasional, the sheets-view export is enough.
