Are any manufacturer's currently using Content Catalog to distribute Revit content?

We've just started using CC for our Revit content - families, templates etc. It seems like a fantastic product and we can see the benefit of Manufacturer's creating their own Catalogs to distribute up-to-date, quality content in real time.

Designers (Architects, engineers etc) would be able to:

- Source updated content from a single source, rather than downloading content from manufacturer's websites or other web browser services.

- Ensure content is up-to-date with specific manufacturer's specifications.

- Use request updates where content may not work as intended

- Provide feedback on the quality of content

Manufacturer's would be able to:

- Revise content with updates available immediately to designers.

- Create collections based on product series and other things like use-case (kitchen, bathroom, apartment, commercial, trade-package etc)

- Take on feedback directly from designers.

I assume Collections can be shared between organisations somehow?

Cheers,

Lauren

Hi Lauren 👋

Short answer: very few manufacturers are currently using Content Catalog publicly to distribute Revit content. Most use cases are still internal.
