Hi everyone,
With the growing importance of the QNG (Quality Seal for Sustainable Buildings) certification in Germany, I am looking for ways to streamline the carbon analysis workflow (in the early project phases) within the Autodesk ecosystem (specifically Revit and Insight).
Currently, the carbon insights tools seem heavily focused on the EC3 database. However, for official German certifications, we are required to use specific datasets, primarily Oekobaudat (https://www.oekobaudat.de/no_cache/datenbank/suche.html) and the QNG calculation tables, which are based mostly on the generic Database (https://www.qng.info/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Oekobilanzierung-Rechenwerte-2023-Version-1.3.xlsx)
I have two main questions for the community and the Autodesk product team:
Database Integration: Are there any plans to make Oekobaudat or QNG-compliant datasets natively available within Insight or the Embodied Carbon Analysis tools?
Bulk Import: Is there currently a way to perform a bulk import of custom CO2 data via Excel or CSV? Manually mapping every single material is quite time-consuming for large-scale projects that must strictly follow German LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) standards.
Call for Collaboration: If these features are not yet on the roadmap or are currently in development, I would like to offer my support. I am deeply involved in the German sustainability requirements and would be happy to contribute my expertise or assist in testing/developing a solution to bridge this gap for the DACH region.
Could anyone point me to the right contact person at Autodesk (Product Management or Sustainability Integration) to discuss how we can move this forward?
