I am trying to use Revit system analysis to obtain results for whole building analysis purpose. But I found an error in this process specifically to Locations in Sri Lanka. Since system analysis runs on out computer using energy plus for any location in Sri Lanka it take only one single location which gives an incorrect result. However results obtained from Green Building studio (In Insight dashboard as an output) get correct location data. So I suggest to add custom feature to give our own weather file (Ex .epw format) . Then it can be used in Sri Lanka without any error.  显示更多

Using our own climate file (epw) allow us to know the data we are using in the model (energy consumption directly depends on the weather, it is as important as constructions materials) . The revit box to edit the weather only allows us to enter some variables manually , wich takes unnecesary time. In adittion, the average daily oscillation represents a number that we have to calculate separately because does not appear in the climatic files (again, unnecessary calculations to trying to complete the table). this table is very difficult to complete 显示更多

I want to model my buildings naked, without HVAC, to test the range of potential internal temperatures during each month of average temperature and weather conditions. We are designing now for passive survivability, and need to know how hot or cold these buildings may get without power. It also allows us to study specific opportunities to reduce the delta between the building's ability to retain or resist heat and the desired temperature from the HVAC system. 显示更多

We need to be able to choose which version of ASHRAE 90.1 our insight model is comparing to. We would like to use the model outputs as a replacement for COMcheck, but our projects are in different locations with varying energy code adoption. AND I would like a detailed report that we can submit as a performance alternative to submitting COMcheck to our building officials. Need to demonstrate the building far exceeds energy code performance even though it may not follow the prescriptive requirements.  显示更多

Hi all, The idea is that if you want to define a high ratio on the heat transfer this option is limited by the mold thermal conductivity (MTC) to 1000W/mK. Would be possible to have a higher upper range? Thanks, Javier 显示更多

We have an issue where when we alter the utility rate cost up from say $0.14 to $0.22 our kwm2 usage goes up by 25% which makes no sense, ulitiy cost per unit doesn't effect usage. There doesn't seem to be any way to check what is getting analised, we can't see say a 3D view or a plan showing all the spaces and maybe colour coded by amount of energy usage. It seems to be very black box in how the final number pops out. We have an issue where we have modeled an existing building which we have all the sub meter energy usage information for an entire year. We have entered all the spaces information into every parameter and added every thermal value into every material in Revit. We can get either the $m2 to equate to reality or the kw/m2/year to equate to reality but not both. If we get one to work the other is out by 10-15%. It would be nice to have another type of building being supermarket as there are some large differences between retail and supermarkets. We have an issue where the largest energy usage in a $3700m2 supermarket is freezers and fridges which are run off the mechanical cooling system for the store. It would be great if there were some more options in HVAC systems so if one has been designed it's specifications can be put in rather than picking a generic system.   Also being able to control opening hours more accurately would be great as supermarkets aren't 12/7 or 24/7 they are halfway inbetween which greatly effects energy use.   It would be nice in future releases to be able to have the ability to assign power usage to electrical equipment and there hours per week of operation and the spaces could then pick up that data rather than having to add them all up and key in a plug load into a space.   It would be nice for insight to take on the data from mechanical systems to get the energy consumption from the actual units rather than just selecting the limited selections of standard HVAC units.   显示更多

Insight seems to have the $m2 number and the kw/m2/year number which is handy but if you're looking for a report to give a client there doesn't seem to be a report that can be downloaded. Some more detail would be greatly helpful some areas that would help would be. Cost per year for running the whole building, energy use for whole building for the whole year, a space by space report on energy usage. 显示更多

in the dashboard of the user, user should be able to see the history of the projects the user ran an analysis on, the number of times an analysis has ran, the type, and the number of credits used for each (for billing purposes). 显示更多
