Hi,
For my final year dissertation at university, I am conducting an experiment that uses flow design to record the drag coefficient and the drag load that a B2 bomber experiences at various air speeds and angles of attack.
When I rotate the drawing to face it into the airflow it seems like the Z & X axis use the same axis. Because of this, the aircraft will constantly be banked and will not adjust about the lateral axis and allow me to change the angle of attack. I did figure out how to adjust the model AoA when the aircraft was 90 degrees to the flow of the wind tunnel but obviously that is of no use.
When I import the 3d model, the aircraft is facing 90 degrees to the airflow of the wind tunnel, even when i adjust the model in CAD to change the direction of the model it will still import 90 degrees to the wind tunnel direction.
I have searched in vain to try and rotate the wind tunnel itself but it will only allow me to adjust the size and not the axis of that.
I'm totally stuck and I really need this data so I can progress with my dissertation, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
