Simulations can be time consuming.
Having the state file in the current implemented form as in V25.1X and earlier is fairly useless. If the state file could save the real simulation state (event list, event log, etc.) then it would allow one to stop the simulation, save the state, and re-start it from that point. This is not only helpful during runs when a computer needs to be hibernated/rebooted by external reasons, but also to showcase and discuss issues when debugging a model.
