Saving Model with 3D Run Completion?

[ FlexSim 21.1.5 ]

Hi Team,

I am having model taking around 5 hours to complete run of 360 days. I tried saving model in this stage but it doesn't get saved. I have to rerun the model every time to check the results.

Is it possible to save this model with completed run in 3D environment?

If it is not what is the alternative way to make this process quick?

Thank you!

You can save state files (.fst). Loading those will recreate the state of the simulation.

You can also automatically save the state at the end of each replication when using the Experimenter.

Hi @Felix Möhlmann,

I have tried given method but model is having same size even if I am using save state with .fsl extension. I feel size should be significantly higher if ran model is saved. I don't think so it is saving everything what I ran.

Also, I would like to know how to open .fsl file?

Thank you!

The model size won't change, since the state is saved in the separate .fst file.

To load a state, open the corresponding model, then navigate to the "Load State..." entry under "File" and choose the file that contains the state you want to load.

(Not sure if that is just a typo in your post, but the file extension is fst (as in state), not fsl)

Hi @Felix Möhlmann,

Thank you so much for uploading animation here.

It is working fine.

I have observed that while saving state file there are some errors popping up in my model.

Can you help me why it is so?

Sorry, I don't know what might cause those errors. Maybe try asking this as a separate question, so maybe a developer can take a look at it.
