question about AGV rotation

[ FlexSim 22.2.0 ]

How can the AGV keep the direction of the body unchanged when it is driving along the AGNetwork, when it is turning or changing lanes and so on?

I use this method in version 2022, when I script the updatelocations(current) and save, the model is directly closed. Looking forward to your new reply, thank you very much.

@wangxu_zp, please attach a Model, which behaves as you have described it. Thanks!

I don't remember in which version this change was made but updatelocations() now executes the PreDraw trigger of the respective object. Putting this command inside said trigger thus creates an infinite loop that crashes FlexSim.

The logic should also work without calling updatelocations(). At worst there is going to be a one frame offset between the actual location and the position where the shape is drawn.

In version 23 you can just uncheck the rotate checkbox on the task executer properties:

@wangxu_zp , is it a picture of Version 23.0 and later or earlier Version like 22.2? That is important, because Jason’s comment mentioned explicitly Version 23.0 as having this new feature!

Yes, but since this forum is a resource for all it's worth pointing out the current method for users who need it, and also to encourage you to use the supported versions.
