Pallet stacking

Hi everyone,

I am having problem with this model. How can i stock one pallet with items over another one changing the z position after the combiner ?

I attach my model below. The problem here is that the combiner send the pallet to the random port without putting them one on top of the other. How can i achieve this goal?

Hello @Andrea F,

You can do an on entry trigger that changes its position in the z-direction or you can use a rack and change the height of the levels to fit the pallets.

Hi Jeanette the model is to be done in a floor storage. Do you know how can i change the z-direction dinamically on entry trigger?

Thank you Jeanette, it was really helpful!! Just one last question it happens that i have to retrieve a pallet on a middle level vertically on the stack. To do that i have to retrieve first the pallet on top and then the one i want. Do you know how can i model this in flexim?

You’d better ask this as a new question, because the answer is totally different to your initial question. You have to identify all items of the cell above the desired item by time of entry, location in z, or rank in tree. You can probably track all items by a partitioned list. The partition is set by cell pointer or cell address of rack, bay, level.
