Initial Inventory

Hello, I am trying to apply the initial inventory of the warehouse demo to my own model. However, I am having problems when assigning a slot due to the fact that I have unstorable slots. As you can see, the slot is supposed to ben on bay 4 level 1 slot 1, but I have this slot as a non-storable space in my rack. How would I bypass this? I have painted the slot on a label called Location. I stopped at the first rack, since I was trying to see if it would work.

Also, I have another question. I have these totes, but I will be generating items that are supposed to be stored inside these totes. Would I need to create process flow similar to the one I made for my totes, since these items will be inside the totes based on their labels? I am looking forward to your guys' answers. I'll be attaching the model below for your reference. Also, for the statistics collector, how would you advise I track how fast they are able to deliver this to the sink?

Hi,

You cannot assign inventory to a non-storable slot — FlexSim enforces slot constraints even during initial inventory.

Either make the slot storable temporarily or assign inventory at the rack level and let the system choose a valid slot.

For totes and items, you don’t need a separate process flow — treat totes as containers and push items into them based on labels.

For tracking delivery speed, store a timestamp when the item is created and measure the difference at the sink.

Hello! So, there's no way past these non-storable slots and I can't inventory them even if I use paint slot label? How would I assign that at the rack level and make the system choose a valid slot if I have a rack address scheme I have to follow? Also, thanks for the advice on the items and delivery speed.
