Hi all,

Is there a way to replace an existing 3D shape in Omniverse with a higher-quality model? For instance, I’d like to replace the current robot model with a custom 3D model that I’ve uploaded, as shown in the attached screenshots.

Thanks in advance!

Hey @mohamed_awad11, one feature you can use in USD files is layering. Omniverse has some documentation on Layers, but ultimately it's a way for you to separate your files in a way so you can have shape files in a different .usd file, separate from the main .usd. The main usd file can reference that shape file. OpenUSD has some other documentation on how to do this.

Hope this helps.
