Create Process Flow Instance for User Library Object

[ FlexSim 18.0.3 ]

Hi,

we have tried different combinatios with more/less user interaction needed but I was wondering if there is a way to directly create something similar to the fixed resources PF, where you select one and the just drag a 3D object from a user library and attach it.

The ideal scenario would be to have the object in the model attached, including the logic and references to generate with drag and drop.

Thanks!

What exactly are you trying to do? You want to drag out the plane containing the conveyor from a user library and have the general process flow added to your model as well? And have the Event Triggered Sources listen to the events on the Decision Points?

Yes. This is just a dummie example, but that would be the expected fuctionality, including the settings in the conveyor type for the conveyor.

Why aren't you just using an instanced (Fixed Resource) Process Flow? It already does this behavior for you and has several other benefits besides. For one, it will be much better at handling the scenario where you drag out multiple planes from the library.

Thanks Matthew, a few minutes after posting we did exactly this and worked as needed.

It seems I can't accept a comment as an answer, right?
