Create custom excel import

[ FlexSim 23.1.1 ]

I would like to do a custom import from an excel, where in each sheet I will have data placed in the same structure, but with different values.

I would like to import this data into flexsim and have each sheet in my excel generate a global table for me and that its content be the content of the rows and columns of each sheet in my excel.

I'm developing this in flex script, could you tell me the best way? I couldn't find many materials about reading excel on the site or on the forum.

Hi Maria!

Here you have the documentation about connectivity with Excel (Import/Export):

https://docs.flexsim.com/en/23.1/Reference/Tools/ExcelInterface/ExcelInterface.html

You can define various settings in the import tab to meet the requirements you mention.

I hope it helps you!

You can import multiple worksheets using the "Excel Interface" tool in FlexSim

At the top of FlexSim is an Excel logo

Click on it to open

Click on import and "+".

On the right side of the Excel Interface window you have all the settings, but the main ones are:

Import - Put the name of your import

Excel Workbook - You will insert the path to the Excel file

Excel Sheet Name - Name of the sheet in your file

Table data - the table where the data from your sheet will be. For your case, a global table that you create. You must create the Global Table first to make the reference.

Import Tables - Will complete the import process into the Global Table
