[ FlexSim 23.0.9 ]

One of our customer is evaluating Emulation in 2023 with OPC UA connection.

There is a problem. Value can be sent (written) from FlexSim to OPC UA, but cannot read from OPC UA. In other word, OPC UA Sensor variable works, but OPC UA Control variable does not work. What could be the problem?

I sent the customer both OPC UA server project file and FlexSim file which works on my PC, but still same situation persists. There is no error message from FlexSim. I'm quite puzzled.

Customer and I are using Takebishi OPC. Flexsim and OPC UA Server is installed on same PC. I'm attaching the files which is working on my PC.

EmulationTest_2023.fsm

TestPrj.zip

The difference between customer test environment and my pc is:

Windows OS: customer --> win10 pro, mine --> win11 pro

Takebishi OPC version: customer --> 7.2, mine --> 6.8

I consulted Takebishi, and mentioned that there shouldn't be any functional difference between the two version.

@Ryosuke S , I tried you configuration on my side with Win 11pro + Takebishi OPC 7.

How you can see in the video below when I (manually) set to False the 'Control' tag this trigger the process flow and this stop the conveyor.

Are you able to perfrom these steps on your sistem?

@Luciano Cavallero Thank you for testing with Takebishi OPC 7. Yes, I have been able to perform the same with my system.

However, on the customer side, the control signal is not been sent to FlexSim. So, the conveyor doesn't stop. Sensor is OK. If sensor detects flowitem, you can see "ON" on Takebishi OPC 7. I am puzzled. What can be the possbible issue? Firewall?

Firewall? I would say no because otherwise also the "Sensor" it should't work.
At this point I suppose that is the protocol configuration between Takebishi OPC 7 and the Mitsubishi PLC ( if I correctly understand from the project you sent )

@Luciano Cavallero Thank you for your reply. I see. Mitsubishi PLC is not connected at this time. Takebishi OPC7 is working on simulation mode (PLC not needed).
