Hello!
I have noticed that whenever I want to add additional data to a point track, such as adding additional frames to a shot, the tracker will almost always jump to a new position. What's weird is if I reset the node and track from the start, it doesn't have any issues tracking through the whole shot - it seems to be something about resuming the track. Is there a way to avoid this?
For instance, I have an Axis node that was tracked to the plate for some GMasks. The initial track went without a hitch, but now I need to add some additional frames to the end of the shot. So I go back into the tracker, go to the last keyframe, and then hit "Analyze" or "Step," and inevitably, the track jumps to another region of the frame.
I am new to Flame, so I might be missing something obvious.
Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi IMStudios
When you go into the tracker/stabilizer, are you using the OFFSET REFERENCE mode before placing your tracker on a new reference point?
You switch it in the modes pull down menu. When you pick up the tracker, it creates a new reference box that you can place anywhere on the frame to track. Pressing Analyse should just pick up from where it left it without jumping.

Hi Grant, Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure which mode I am using. To help, I have uploaded a video of what is going on to help provide some context:
https://vimeo.com/542796291/b08c6cde61
You can see at the 14-second mark where I try and resume the track to add more frames and the tracker jumps down. This happens on all of my tracked axes in this shot, including ones that are tracking against good areas of detail such as text and logos on the bottle. (Blurred in this video for NDA purposes.)

Hi IMStudios,
I misunderstood your first post. I thought you wanted to change the reference instead of continuing it. That is why I suggested OFFSET REFERENCE from the tools pull down menu.
I looked at your video and I am not sure why the track simply is not picking up from where it left off. I did a test on my Flame and it worked as you would expect it. This means that there may be a rogue reference keyframe which is causing the jump. You need to look in the reference animation channels to check this.
But before you do that, I would suggest that you to go to the frame you'd like to pick up the track from and SNAP the track before you carry on analysing the rest of the frames. This will set a new reference frame at the last frame and that might hold onto your track without the shifting.

This helped resolve the issue. Interestingly sometimes just selecting the inner box of the tracker prior to starting the new track resolves the jumping as well.
Thanks for the help! 👍
